Varsity Head Coach: Adam Stahl

Coach Stahl came to Parkway South in 1998 as an assistant coach to Hall of Fame Coach Fred McConnell In his first two years, the Patriots won 2 district titles and finished 2nd in the Missouri 4A state playoffs. In 2002, Coach McConnell retired and Coach Stahl was hired as the teams 3rd head coach in its 30 year history. Coach Stahl has worked hard to maintain the standard of excellence Patriot baseball has grown accustomed to during the history of the program. During Coach Stahl's tenure, the varsity baseball program has been ranked in the in the top ten in both state and metro polls, won 2 Suburban South Conference titles, 1 Suburban West Championship, reached four district title games and won the district championship in both 2005 and 2008. The Patriots were also sectional champions in 2008.

In Coach Stahl's 25 year baseball coaching career, he has not been limited to coaching at the high school level. In the summer of 2005, Coach Stahl had the opportunity to coach in the prestigious Northwoods Collegiate League were he will return in 2009 as the Head Coach of the Duluth Huskies in Duluth, MN. Coach Stahl also had a 6 year tenure with the Midwest Prospects, which is an elite 18 & Under team out of St. Louis. In Coach Stahl's career, he has been very fortunate to be able to coach some of the best players in the country. He has had over 150 players receive baseball scholarships in which nearly 70 are at the Division I level. Coach Stahl has also coached 30 players that have been drafted or signed professional contracts.

Currently, Coach Stahl is starting his 12th year as a part time scout for the Cleveland Indians and the Strength and Conditioning teacher at Parkway South High School. He has been married to his wife Jill for 21 years and has 3 children, Nicholas, Ty and Mia.

Asst. Coach: Dave Wheeler

 

Head JV Coach : Dan Bredenkoetter

Coach Bredenkoetter came to Parkway South in 2006. He is in his third year of teaching math. This is Coach Bredenkoetter's 3rd year of coaching baseball at South and he just finished his 4th year as the varsity offensive/defensive line coach for the football team. Coach Bredenkoetter is a graduate of DeSmet Jesuit High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball at various levels in his four years. After high school Coach Bredenkoetter received a football scholarship to Truman State University, where he was a four year letter winner and two year starter at defensive end. Prior to coming to South Coach Bredenkoetter was a varsity football coach and the assistant JV baseball coach at DeSmet for two years.

Asst Coach: Matt Roach

Coach Roach is entering his 2nd year in the South Baseball Program. He has been an assistant coach for Basketball and Cross Country the past 3 years at Parkway South. Matt also has coached for Manchester Junior Varsity Legion Team. Matt Roach is a 2002 graduate of Oak Park High School in Kansas City where he played baseball and basketball all four years.
Matt graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May of '06 and also received his master's degree in Administration from Missouri Baptist University in May of '08.
Coach Roach currently teaches Physical Education and Health at Parkway Northeast Middle School. He has been married to his wife Carly since July of 2005.

Head Freshman Coach : Dave McFarland

Coach McFarland is starting his 16th year as an assistant baseball coach at Parkway South. Coach McFarland has been the Head Freshman Coach since the program was started in '98. Coach McFarland is a graduate of Lutheran South High School where he played both baseball and football. Coach McFarland then went on to earn a degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Coch McFarland has also earned both a Master's and Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from Southwest Baptist University. Coach McFarland is currently the Baseball General Manager and Head Freshman Coach for the Manchester American Legion Post 208 Baseball Program.

Currently, Coach McFarland is in his 15th year as a Health and Physical Education Teacher at Parkway South High School where he also coaches Freshman Softball. Coach McFarland has been married to his wife Teresa for 13 years and they have a five year old son, Aidan.

Asst. Coach Tony McNabb

Coach McNabb's in starting his 2nd year coaching baseball at Parkway South and his 22nd year coaching competitive baseball. Tony has also coached high school football for four years most recently serving as the freshman offensive coordinator at Parkway West in fall 2008.

In addition, Coach McNabb has served as the General Manager and Head Coach of the SW Rawlings Stars of the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association (SLABA). In 2008, Tony was named the SLABA Varsity Coach of the Year when he led his team to the SLABA North Division Championship and a berth in the 18U PONY Zone Tournament. Tony is currently coaching for the Rawlings Prospects organization.

Coach McNabb has been teaching physical education and health at Henry Elementary School in the Parkway School District for eight years. Tony and his wife Kristi live in Arnold, MO and have five children Austin, Dylan, Amber, Liz, and Ryan. Grandsons Zaine and Madden complete the McNabb family line-up.
