Patriot Baseball Varsity Field

Our infield is Quick Stand Bermuda. Our outfield was redone in the summer of 2007 and is comprised of Riviera Bermuda. Both the infield and outfield are overseeded with Perennial Rye in the fall and spring. We have 72 sprinkler heads including 8 heads that are designated to water down the skin portion of the field.

The mound and home plate are a Marmound Mixed clay we have from Southern Athletic that is shipped in from Kentucky. The skin portion of our field is a red crimson infield conditioner that is shipped in from Texas, which is capable of absorbing 2 inches of water.

Our runways are concrete covered with 1/2 inch astroturf on top. This works well in avoiding weeds and the wear and tear of high traffic areas.
